Art Hide – along with our sister brand Amigos de Hoy – recently returned from LA and Palm Springs for meetings with interior designers and a trade show called Westedge in seaside Santa Monica. We had an absolute blast!
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DESIGN ADVENTURES!
The Westedge trade show opened on October 24 and we enjoyed a fun-filled few days exhibiting inside a disused aeroplane hangar (first time for everything)! Brand founders and sisters Kura and Bree had to laugh when they were setting up, as small aircraft drove past back up past the airport to the Santa Monica airport!
The opening party was lots of fun with 3000 people in attendance, free cocktail bars and lots of food. The next few days were full of new client meetings, presentations of our stunning new customizable cowhide area rugs, press interviews and even a podcast interview (which we’ll post up here when it goes live).
After the show wrapped, there was no time to waste as we jumped in our huge Dodge and tackled the LA freeways on our way out to Palm Springs. There we had a full day of meetings with our showrooms and clients and even managed to go meet some new designers too.
One of the major highlights was getting upgraded to Marilyn Monroe’s suite at the famous Avalon Hotel. Some jumping on beds may have ensued!
We were lucky enough to visit the incredible home in Thunderbird estate Palm Springs that houses two custom Art Hide rugs.
Until next time SoCal! And we’ll see you all next in Vegas in late January.
